Losing a mother, or maternal figure, forever alters one’s place in the world. Three unmothered artists (Ashley Weeks Cart, Anna Moriarty Lev, + Tu Le), using different mediums, present works celebrating their process of grief. These artists allow the viewers to follow their practice of healing through their art, leading to the joy their work has produced for themselves and others.
The title of the show, Mutti-Mama-Ma, represents how each artist termed their respective mothers. Through cultural and language differences, the maternal experience knows no barriers. The convergence of these artists' work shows how collaborative efforts can be a part of the healing process.

Milkweed is believed to strengthen one’s inner spiritual power to persevere through both ordinary and extraordinary challenges and to rise from states of helplessness to states of hardiness, strength and resourcefulness.
